Our Staff

We have a team of qualified, dedicated and experienced staff who are committed to keeping abreast of changes in policies and practices in childcare and education by updating skills and training.  The day-to-day management of the nursery is by the Lead Practitioner and/or her Deputy. As a registered charity, we are managed by a Committee, comprising members of staff, parent representatives, Chevening CEP School Governors and staff from the school.  All family members are encouraged to contribute their views and support the setting in a variety of ways.

Suzanne Lingard

I am the manager and lead practitioner at Chevening School Nursery and have had the privilege of managing the nursery, with support from my fantastic team, for over 24 years.  I love reading funny and scary stories to the children like, Who's in the Loo and My Hairy Toe.

I believe everyone is unique and this should be embraced and celebrated by everyone. Any child attending the nursery will soon find out I do NOT like chocolate or bananas and  they love to tease me especially when we are playing in the 'home corner'!

Susie Greenhalf

Susie is German. She has been at Chevening School Nursery since 2008 and loves to be in the great outdoors. She especially loves taking Forest School lessons in the nursery's own Forest School area and making the children hot chocolate to keep them warm outside!

Karen Truman

Karen sometimes comes in when an extra member of staff is needed and has worked at Chevening School Nursery since 2002.

Sarah Thornton

I am a fully qualified primary school teacher and have worked at Chevening School Nursery since 2013 and have spent all my career teaching children.

At Chevening I support children who have SEND and regularly take on small groups focussing on Speech and Language.

I love messy play indoors and out and enjoy sharing stories with the children.

Vicki Drew

Best known for my tidying and organisational skills I have worked with children for many years. Starting as a children's rep I have also worked in other nurseries, pre-schools and still also nanny to this day.

Watching the children grow and develop is a huge privilege.

Jeanette McDonald

I started at Chevening School Nursery in September 2018 after gaining experience teaching at a preschool in Panama. I enjoy nurturing children as they grow and develop essential lifelong skills. I enjoy making learning fun and sparking curiosity and  feel privileged to be part of that ‘eureka’ moment, when after trying, exploring and investigating, a child ‘gets it’! I look forward to many lightbulb moments as part of this great team.

Jacqui Millins

My dance and gym background is how I started at Chevening School Nursery. I was then kidnapped by Suzanne and have not been able to leave since!

Little people are amazing and brighten every day.

I work with a fab team and wouldn't want to be kidnapped by anyone else.

Adele Udale

I am the nursery administrator. Both my teenage boys attended the nursery and I liked Suzanne so much I decided to stay on and try and organise her!

There is no space for me at nursery so I work from home but my dream is to one day have a little office in the nursery garden!

Hollie Parkinson

I've worked in Early Years my entire career; in nurseries, pre-schools and more recently as a nanny. Helping children to grow in all areas of development is such a joy. I could not be happier to be a part of the wonderful team at Chevening.

Becky Pilcher

I am so excited to be a part of the amazing team at Nursery. All three of my children attended Nursery and since then I’ve loved coming back to volunteer for sports days and Christmas concerts, I can’t keep away!

I’m a trained Scenic Artist and worked in West End theatres bringing to life sets and props, so I love anything creative. I can’t wait to get all painty and gluey and help the children explore and learn through art.
