Summer term activities

Writer's picture: chevening school nurserychevening school nursery

So far we are having lots of fun. Learning lots about our plants in our little garden and also planting lots of pumpkin seeds. I hope you got yours. Let's see who can grow the biggest pumpkin over the summer.

Our focus this term is all about the life and water cycle. We have learned some difficult words and a great new song.

Understanding and developing an appreciation for the natural world around us, like our garden or watching our caterpillars grow. We are observing different lifecycles and learn about reproduction by watching a caterpillar turn into a butterfly or the frog cycle and also learn about animals on the farm and where things come from. It's a busy term and some of our older children have been visiting their big schools and we had also lots of little new visitors in nursery which will be starting in September with us.
