Big Garden Bird watch - It's free

Big Garden Birdwatch long weekend is here! There's still time to sign-up and take part. Why not join in with your children. Great fun. Maybe draw a picture of what you saw and bring it into nursery.

Just spend one hour between Friday 27 and Sunday 29 January counting the birds, and help monitor how birds are faring. It's free, fun and a great way to keep an eye on your local wildlife. Wherever you are, whatever you see, it counts!

Every Birdwatch matters

Last year, almost 700,000 people took part in Big Garden Birdwatch, all coming together to look out for birds. Will you join in this weekend? Shockingly, we’ve lost 38 million birds from UK skies in the last 50 years, so it really is vital we do all we can to look after our birdlife. As a conservation charity we depend on your support to save nature and to look after places where wildlife can thrive. You can also make a difference by taking part in Big Garden Birdwatch. Thank you for making it count!

How to take part in Big Garden Birdwatch

Taking part is as easy as 1, 2, 3.

Watch the birds around you for one hour

Count how many of each species of bird lands on your patch

Go online and tell them what you saw

We are planning next week our Nature walk. So please dress little ones warmly and hopefully we will see lots of birds, bug hunt and more and we might even see Stickman.
