Welcome Back

We are really looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow, to make everything go smoothly please ensure that everything is clearly named and that they recognise their own belongings.
If wellies, a change of clothes and a named plastic bag ( for any mishaps) can be kept in a bag that stays at nursery it would help immensely as then we only have lunch boxes and the child in their coat to get to and from nursery at pickup and drop-off.
Here is also a copy of our email from 17/8 as a reminder.
We hope you have had a lovely summer and a break from home schooling.Â
We wanted to let you know that we have been working closely with the main school regarding starting back safely in September.
Our start time has changed slightly in order to have a staggered entry with the school.Â
The nursery will start at 8.30am with our morning sessions ending at 11.30am. For those children not doing a full day, children can stay until 12pm if you wish to pay £5 for them to have a supervised packed lunch. (Please do not reply back to this email regarding lunches as Adele will send round another email specifically for this).
Afternoon sessions will start at 12pm and end at 3pm.Â
We will need to be very strict about arriving and departing at these times due to the school children that will be arriving 5 minutes later and we need the school playground to be clear.Â
Entrance will be via the main school carpark and then through the school gates. You can walk half way across the playground where we will then meet you and take your children into nursery. You will then depart via the school steps and past the main school's office - so we can keep a kind of one-way system in place. There will be barriers in place helping with directions etc but we ask you all to respect this and do not stop and chat to other parents in or around the school and Chevening Road so the whole area can be freed up ready for the school children to arrive. Â
Pick up will be the same principal ie parents to arrive via the main school carpark and through the school gates and then onto the playground to collect your child.
Obviously the children's welfare is paramount so we will focus on them at drop off and will not really have time for long conversations from parents - unfortunately. However, we will have more time to talk at pick up as the main school children won't be around at these times. Or you can always call the nursery once you are back at home or email Adele.  Please make sure your child can recognise their own belongings, and LABEL CLEARLY ALL coats, hats, bags, and lunch boxes etc as this makes it so much easier for us getting the children ready to leave.Â
Hopefully as things settle into some kind of routine we may be able to work a system where a member of staff can stay and answer any questions. But please bear with us as all of this will be a huge learning curve especially as it's a shared site and we ask for your patience and understanding. As we said, the main focus will be the children and helping them to get into a happy drop off.
The first day back FOR EXISTING CHILDREN ONLY will be Wednesday 2nd September. NEW CHILDREN will join us the following Wednesday 9th.Â
This is to ensure the children's key persons can support each child with what may be a tricky transition time for both them and you.Â
Finally, it is important to remember to all keep well and safe which means each of us taking a responsible approach and not to send any child to nursery if they are unwell. Please do not send your child into nursery if they or anyone else in your household are showing any signs or symptoms of Covid-19. We have to follow the government and local guidelines and ask that you also all read the most up to date information regarding children returning to school and nursery.Â
If anything changes in the meantime, we will of course be in touch.Â
Many many thanks for all your support and understanding - we CANNOT WAIT to have fun once again in the nursery!
