As you aware. Recently we have learned all about Chinese New Year. We read books, created rat masks, danced like dragons and enjoyed noodles. We provided a role play area with a variety of resources reflecting diversity. We had some wonderful resources, sharing and discussing practices, celebrations and experiences and similarities. We strengthen the positive impressions children have of their own culture and of others in their community.
The following weeks we will be focusing and extending our Math skills. Please join us by helping your children to count in a fun easy way when out and about ie. Steps, ducks, or cars in traffic jam. Or find numbers or shapes in the environment. It's amazing how many numbers one can find.
There was even a rat hiding in Forest School.
